Carnotaurus has a fairly evidently crushed jugal, in addition to aforementioned possible lateral compression. If one was to reconstruct the jugal and skull width closer to other abelisaurs, the “smile” fades, especially with added tissue

"The Ghost Hunter": was a predatory dinosaur native to ~125mya. It is known from a single, fairly complete individual that was discovered beneath a titanosaur. Illustrated below by , it was an early, critical step in the evolution of abelisaurids.

Sister Earth's giant apex predator abelisaur of Africa. Roughly the size of T. rex, but with a bite outclassing the tyrant lizard.

Trying to get back in the groove, so I did EarthBound’s Wetnosaur as an abelisaurid. I felt the abelisaurid route made sense, given its ceratosauroid appearance. Yes, I’m a nerd.

We never found out about Scorpios rex's genetic make up. We know it has scorpion fish and (based on the sickle claw) Velociraptor DNA, but that's about it
Based on the short snout, i like to think that there's an Abelisaur in there too. Skorpiovenator for obvious reasons

Was expecting a new abelisaurid, got something straight out of a spec project. Meet Jakapil kaniukura, a basal thyreophoran from the Late Cretaceous aged Candeleros Formation! For context, this thing lived alongside Giganotosaurus.
