For those not in the know, I originally came up with "BowerTyrants" as a relatively tongue-in-cheek look at speculative behaviors among large-bodied theropods. After all, bowers probably didn't fossilize...

Breaking #TetZooCon 2022 news: it's been 10 years since the Conway-Kosemen-Naish book #AllYesterdays saw print, so TetZooCon 2022 features an on-stage event where we discuss the book's history and impact. Join us 3rd & 4th Dec in London, more info ... https://t.co/GzEtinhcGn
did you know today marks a decade since the release of #AllYesterdays?
Thank you so much to the brilliant artists and scientists behind it who not only kickstarted a new age of paleoart, but also inspired so many people, including myself!
Your reminder that our famous/infamous 2012 book #AllYesterdays is about to jump in price (due to no fault of our own). Buy it now if you want the lower price: https://t.co/Ri0GXVgt6N #dinosaurs #palaeoart #paleoart #books
And a reminder that #AllYesterdays itself is still in print; in fact, it's ten years old this year and we're considering the release of an updated, second edition. Buy it here... https://t.co/Ri0GXVgt6N #palaeoart #paleoart #books #dinosaurs #pterosaurs
A reminder that the follow-up book to #AllYesterdays, called ALL YOUR YESTERDAYS, is available FREE at my site. Condition of downloading it: please support those of us involved in this project, we all have patreons (it was led by @cmkosemen and involves me and @thejohnconway)...
One thing the book DOES NOT SAY (and yet is often accused of saying, clearly by people who HAVEN'T READ IT) is "look at all the silly mistakes palaeontologists are making, ha ha ha!". #AllYesterdays #palaeoart #paleoart
The #AllYesterdays hippo is doing the rounds again. There are CAVEATS to this idea that are usually missed. The monstrous reconstructions are meant to apply to HYPOTHETICAL cases where those doing the reconstruction are unaware of soft tissue data and ignorant of mammal anatomy.
It's also obvious that Kim is very well informed on the ideas and conversations that have happened in the #paleoart world and among those interested in dinosaur behaviour and biology. Examples: the AllYesterdaysVerse, and omnivory in ceratopsians...

A Tenontosaurus eating a Deinonychus chick - possibly because there is no other food around, and possibly to gain nutrients the Tenontosaurus cannot gain from eating plants alone.

A Stegosaurus with a tail that acts as a fake head. Predators that go for this fake head would not only cause the Stegosaurus less harm, they would also be in a prime position to be clubbed with the spiky thagomizer.
