Working with a very limited palette (red, yellow, B&W) might feel restrictive but I find it freeing
These are multi-layered works, with a rich 'history' to be discovered.

3 panels I've been working on. They each 'stand alone' but they also flow one on to the next

These are the last works of 2022, let's see what ideas 2023 brings!

Work in progress - in fact I'm about to go & work on it once I've posted this!
The 1st photo is how it is now, & then you step back in time as you scroll.

Work in progress - I'm enjoying working with a subtle background offset by strongly contrasting shapes, to create a dynamic abstract painting.

"Heartening"
Looking down into a barrel sponge, naturally forming a heart shape.
With brushes loaded with paint, swirled for those flowing shapes, here's that 'heartening' sponge.

"Straying"
Ah, it's done! I've just finished this painting - a few final touches today
As it developed the purple blues gradually engulfed the orangey reds, which now sing out in contrast.

Acrylic on canvas, 20x20 inches
