Pink fairy armadillos are nocturnal burrowing mammals endemic to the xeric environment in central Argentina. They have been found south of Mendoza province as well as north of Rio Negro and south of Buenos Aires.

The Buneary of Acana have adapted to froze arctic wastes by developing a fluffy white coat and burrowing into the snow to blend in. When it evolves into Lopanic, at night it will leap at prey weakened by the harsh environment, dragging them into the snow to drink their blood.
