@5p0rt They are fictional tarot-looking cards that are featured in cardcaptor Sakura, one of CLAMP’s most famous manga :) in the story Sakura has to try and capture all of them, and each one is based on some kind of elemental thing

Thinking about how Clamp’s “Rex kyoryu monogatari “ (1993) predated Charmander(1996)… but I can’t unsee Rex as Charmander
You can say all you want about CLAMP’s story telling but you can’t come for their artwork https://t.co/TcYl0SYCYH

~Barely in time to pay my omages to Clamp’s masterpiece #X with my favorite characters from this story! 🖤
I grew up in the 90s when Japanese manga/anime start to boom in my country. I was so fascinated with the aesthetics, that later encourage me to draw. Some of my favorites are Doraemon, Sailor Moon & pretty much all Clamp’s works.
*Also Lantis from MKR is my first anime crush 😆
~This illustration (came in the 90s as a light for mankind) is showing how much of an adorable spoiled brat Eagle is, and then there’s Clamp’s comment. How I am supposed not to ship them?

thought it’d be a fun drawing exercise to try and emulate CLAMP’s style so i give you….cardcaptor tressa
What’s this? Time travel, extravagant fashion, angst...? Must be a CLAMP manga!!! Tsubasa imho is CLAMP’s masterpiece, I love it so much. It was also one of the first manga I ever read!!
Mokona finalized the character designs. The work then fell to Takahiro Kimura to adapt and incorporate CLAMP’s designs into Sunrise’s production process for a smooth transition. He painstakingly pored over various #CLAMP art books and tankōbon to get a feel for their style.
Arguably, CLAMP’s most successful properties are X/1999 (1992-2003), #MagicKnightRayearth (1993-1995), #CardCaptorSakura (1996-200), and #Chobits (2001-2002). But they certainly have other hits.
