You will never see them so close and friendly again after they appeared in our fanart cursor pack. #Plankton is a planktonic copepod who runs the Chum Bucket restaurant. His archenemy is #MrKrabs . #CustomCursor #Cursor #fanart #Spongebob #red #green

I think I forgot to post these but here's some creatures that belong to @SDragonhead, a copepod and brine shrimp :3
(2/?)
Special kudos to @du_floyd for collaborating on this with me once again.
A Sync Employee, Noclip Survivor, Abyssal Copepod (Mystery Flesh Pit cameo) and an IKEA employee (SCP-3008 cameo)
Abyssal copepods are these creatures, in case you don't know your Mystery Flesh Pit lore.
@EVNautilus @WHOI The eyes aren't their only weird feature. Though the body is at most 28cm, the length is tripled by a pair of long, soft tail rays. The mouth is hinged so that the interior opens rapidly to suck up copepods, giving this fish a permanent puckered-up expression😘 #25DaysOfFishmas
My OC, I’Issge the Clutchkiller, is partly based on a Greenland sleeper shark. They often have a parasitic copepod that attaches to the cornea, a perfect look for an aquatic lich!
Adorable art by @andouilles (who you should totes commission)
Life as a fish means that sometimes, you have eldritch-looking copepods with long skinny necks stick their anchor-shaped head into your bodily tissue, so that they can drink your sweet, sweet teleost blood

Everyone is talking about parasitic crustacean now ?
Here are parasitic copepods
Ergasilus thatcheri, Choniomyzon inflatus, Ommatokoita elongata
I am unsure if this is common knowledge but Plankton from Spongebob is a copepod
It's #InternationalCopepodDay! Here are some of my old paintings to celebrate these wonderful animals. The Calanus is my fave #LGBTSTEM.
When is international amphipod day???
the #beautiful calanoid #Centropages typicus. Common #copepod species in the #Mediterranean and North #Atlantic. Suspension+ambush #feeder, It contributes to the #Carbon biological pump in these waters. @JPlanktonRes @mixotrophs @aslo_org
Even though greenland sharks don't really need their eyes to hunt, I still feel pity for them because copepod parasites are always sticking on them, idk if this causes them pain but imagine living for hundreds of years only for a parasite to latch on to you and turn you blind
@silomel91 cestodes have a complex life cycle, so the stickleback probably ate infected copepods or other small crustaceans. Never saw it coming😏

Okay, this is the most adorable figure I've seen in a scientific paper in a while. And oh my gosh is the hydra holding a dead copepod in one tentacle? (Graphical abstract from Atkinson et al., 2018 on myxozoans: https://t.co/LK20MufrH3)
