I'm a little sad Golden Age arc wasn't longer, I would've loved to see Griffith and Corkus' dynamic.

I imagine Corkus would say something stupid and Griffith would correct him and he'd look dumb.

Movies tried too hard to humanise what didn't need to be humanised and if we're talking ugly, there's Corkus and Judeau, they look absolutely dreadful. JJBA is a perfect example of how character designs are done for wacky or detailed manga series
