more specifically, a compound eye is made of a bunch of ommatidia, tubes that have photosensitive cells at the bottom. the cornea surface at angles from you reflects light not coming at it and so you see it bouncing. but the one pointing at you absorbs all the light down the tube

I am very excited to bring good news.
After many years of vision problems and losing 60% of it, more than 6 operations and a corneal transplant, I can say that I have recovered up to 95% with the new pair of glasses.
I can't force it too much yet,but I'm very happy.
