Oil painting by Chicago painter and printmaker Eldzier Cortor (1916-2015). Cortor was one of the most prominent visual artists of the Chicago Black Renaissance and was closely involved with the South Side Community Art Center.
Eldzier Cortor was an #American #artist & #printmaker born #OnThisDay in 1916. He typically painted elongated nude figures which were influenced by European #Surrealism & African art.
