Avis sketch because frohawks are too fire to give to just ONE OC.

Frederick William Frohawk was born #OTD in 1861. He supplied #sciart for ZSL's Proceedings (now @JZoology), 23 plates between 1886 & 1900. These two examples both accompany 1886 papers by G.A. Boulenger, a #ZSLFellow & #Herpetologist.
Happy #GoodFriday!
An #EasterEggHunt in our #RareBooks collection uncovered eggs, bunnies & bonnets too!

Hi! I'm Afrohawk, a 3D fan artist. I'm not looking for work, just exploring Blender and making fun art with it, mostly Nintendo stuff! #b3d #PortfolioDay
U. Maui Nukupuʻu (5)
6 species with 5 U's. Unfortunately, the 4 Nukupu'u species have gone the way of so many other Hawaiian Honeycreepers due to a mixture of habitat loss, invasive species and disease. The Maui species was last seen in the 90's. RIP

An artist/ scientist/ entomologist I admire so much is F W Frohawk. A Natural History artist & huuge butterfly fan.He took it on himself 2 breed every British butterfly!2 note & paint every tiny metamorphic detail he saw. This took him over 20 yrs 2 complete! My homages 2 him.
Birds of the park: Foreign finches in captivity, by AG Butler, illustrated by FW Frohawk, 1889, BHL/Uni California..........https://t.co/7mrTYaOhvG #birdillustration
Frohawk found inspiration visiting the zoological collections of @britishmuseum (now at @NHM_London) and live animals at @zsllondonzoo (@ZSLLibrary). Studying living animals close up enabled him to hone his observational skills which his artwork demonstrates #CollectionsUnited

OH YEAH— hey, I actually look more like my character more physically for once. :’D
Wanted to try out a new style for my hair last weekend! Very first time with it, but I feel it actually does suit me... I would hope, anyhow! Frohawks are really nice.. <3
