2017-2024. Didn't realized I have been drawing for that long. 2018 is a major turning point when I decided to take drawing seriously & learn drawing and painting fundamentals. Nowadays I do kinda chillin, no more chasing for "improvement", just draw~🎨🖌️ https://t.co/lQ9gPYnVCP

January 2023 vs January 2024

It’s an improvement but I know I could have improved a lot more if I had dedicated more time to practice and fundamentals. Hopefully next year there will be more improvement.

Going back to the OG SC solidifies my Ivy fundamentals. I cannot explain why. I pursue that legacy knowledge even though I’m Gen Z.

Paintings from this stream! I tried applying concepts I learned but from my own criticism, it lacks the 'professional' feel, where the decisions I made while painting aren't important fundamentals.

Has anyone else experienced this? For so long I thought that extreme rendering would cover up my mistakes and because of that belief i didnt focus on my fundamentals. But now i realise less is more for me and rendering is overrated

Do people really think drawing is just combining images in your head and drawing it on paper? First you need the actual skill to draw what you imagine your head on paper, and that takes practice and learning the fundamentals. Something AI doesn’t do, just look at these hands.

Considering a hierarchy does not automatically mean the absence of details. It's a tonal structure

Thanks Krekk. I draw... kinda a lot of whatever I just feel like. I experiment a lot and am sort of at the beginning of my journey past fundamentals.

If anyone's interested, by all means, follow along. If nothing else, the amount of weird shit I try shouldn't be boring?

Thank you! You can call me Kaffee. I like to draw in anime style. Currently going back to study the fundamentals. Cheers!

It's been a while since I painted a portrait of this character of mine. I spent a lot of time learning and studying the fundamentals. Glad to see the progress, even on something that wouldn't be considered a portfolio piece.
