If ya'll dislike me calling JP raptors "Deinonychus", wait until you get a load of me calling these "Giraffatitan", "Citipati", and "Nanuqsaurus" xd
My priority has always been the real fossil they're representing, rather than what the characters/narrator calls them
It's my first #FossilFriday on https://t.co/Fke6j4ZuQF, so it's time to post some sauropodomorph #paleoart! Here's Giraffatitan at the beach (2021), my Diplodocus mural for the Dorset Dippy exhibit (2019), Plateosaurus with flies (2020) and Shingopana with termites (2017).
@ncdraw Im all over the place with 3D models, regular stuff on my tablet, and clay sculptures like the Giraffatitan I made for my old science teacher
Here´s an update of the articulation for Ibada the Giraffatitan brancai, i want to thank @RaulRamosArt for this amazing job, we hope you can witness how this fella come back from extinction soon...

My afternoon is all about creating sauropod #paleoart, so in honour of that, here's a suite of sauropodomorphoramas featuring classic taxa for #FossilFriday: Brontosaurus, Giraffatitan, Plateosaurus, and Diplodocus.
Brachiosaurus has not only been revamped, but Giraffatitan has also been created! 🦕
New blog post! Ever wonder where all the 19th century sauropod #paleoart is? Me too. It turns out that there're lots of interesting reasons why it took us 50 years to start restoring these magnificent dinosaurs. (With Giraffatitan art cameo!)

#PRDinovember2021 15. The next BOSS BATTLE: Industrial Titan. While not exactly steampunk, a huge Giraffatitan emerging from the mist while snorting clouds of steamh breath is pretty reminiscent of an industrial colossus itself. https://t.co/lAYCceX987
Giraffatitan Vistamp

This is as fish-eye as I can get within Zbrush. Impossible to capture how imposing a Giraffatitan must have been in life. A slim noodle. Slimposing. Pastasaurus.
I don't know, guys, gals and nonbinary pals. Sauropods are weird as they are, but Giraffatitan (or brachiosaurs in general)? Even weirder. However, I find their slim limbs and long proportions to be en par in gracefulness to Lambeosaurus, Corythosaurus, Parasaurolophus & Co. Yes.
I needed another sauropod next to Giraffatitan for Tendaguru, so I simply squished an old model of Apatosaurus into the comparably dwarf diplodocoid Dicraeosaurus hansemanni. I never realised how small they are (still in dinosaur measurements, but still). Kinda cute. Early stage.
