I thought this would be a fun matchup….

My man Mordenkainen, the Mad Mage of Mount Barato, versus Iggwilv, The Witch Queen of Perrenland.

Who you got? Can the Lord Mage of Greyhawk stand up to the Dream Witch?

No brainer, by far the Free City of Greyhawk Boxed set is the best reference produced by original TSR. Another good one is Bastion of Faith by and Specialty Priests within done by Eric L Boyd!

Some more work by Darlene. The 1980 map of the Flanaess from the World of Greyhawk Folio may just be her Magnum Opus. Most maps were still black and white, & this was just mind boggling to us then!

You have to realize, this was hand done 42 years ago, yet still looks great!

This is Asford’s and ‘s character Scam Likely’s bastard son whomst I might play in a new campaign I’m in. He only exists in the world of Greyhawk tho, all other Asford’s remain bastardchildless. He is very bendy and limp

My milieu is not realistic, nor is it Utopian, it is a fantasy, an imaginative fiction featuring especially strange settings and characters that depart markedly from the natural, the expected, or the typical.

I was picking out pieces of art that evoked the "vibe" of each major setting to me. One picture per setting. Curious what others would pick but here are the ones I chose, starting with and

Vecna! He's toured Greyhawk, Ravenloft, and Planescape. Now coming soon to a Sword Coast near you!

But he'll have competition from our existing liches. So, hear us out, new adventure idea: "Lich and the City." What do you think?

No matter the outcome, I think we all can agree that both and are both iconic, classic, and worthy of the great stature they have both achieved.
