Autumn Elizabeth for @thechewieone
I wanted something different, so I tried using crosshatching brush to create a fuzzy texture...
Idk if I ever managed it coz I can't find the option to resize the hatch textures lul
I wasn't too happy with the composition, so I'm redrawing it as a way to practice. I would also like to try different hatching.
Lmao, i feel so dumb right now. So all this while, the hatching brush on medibang can be rotated!?
I might be expecting too much but I would have really loved if the wha anime adaptation included hatching like shirahama’s art style…something similar to the girl on the other side anime, but im super glad they went with the engraving/hatching style in the bg
Klee!
I tried hatching practice instead of usual colors. turned out well.
I use rebellion as my ref, man. I wonder how they make it look gritty even with minimal "tone color",
I guess it had to do with hatching and adding extra "dirty lines" to make em' gritty :/
Art! Bagi beberapa yang penasaran, brush yang sering kupake untuk lineart/hatching bnw di procreate tuh brush inkbleed (default), ini paling enak buat lineart imo ✨
@Psychic_Driving Someone posted my favorites so I’ll just say that these two astound me on a technical level. Man-Thing is so elaborate and so dense, but each element remains deliberate. In the Gemini piece your hatching is so unique and perfectly captures the film grain of the original shot
@hellobooze I actually do like his approach to inking Kirby in some spots, using crosshatching while keeping the kirby musculature is kind of interesting. But also, when he’s refusing to draw the main character in their own comic I have to question how committed he actually is to this
I'm working with a lot of fine liners for my university project at the moment and UGH I just love cross hatching so much look at these textures ✨✨
(these are scans of traditional illustrations so the lines aren't as crisp as my usual stuff)
