is by Jane Simmons for “Little Fern’s First Winter” (2000). Jane’s sensitive and painterly illustrations are a joy in this story about a rabbit experiencing that shift from Autumn to Winter, & the first snows. No snow in Suffolk yet, but it’s very cold.
