@NimriNadine LOL. What? Firstly, Beethoven's mother was born near Koblenz along the Rhine River. Moors conquered Spain for a long time but they never stepped foot into the Netherlands, both countries being irrelevant to Beethoven's parentage. For that matter people from Spain look like this:
@NimriNadine I'm not sure why this gets repeated so often in some circles, but no, there's no evidence Beethoven had any African ancestry. It would be kinda cool if he did, but as far as we know his parents were white Germans, his mother being Maria Magdalena Keverich born outside Koblenz.

@Lironsie LOL. What? Again, no evidence for that. Beethoven's mother was Maria Magdalena Keverich (born 19 December 1746 – died 17 July 1787), a German woman from Koblenz, Germany along the Rhine. Both of Beethoven's parents are depicted here in a surviving portrait. Neither are African:
