Based off an idea I had involving 0Lightsource's Gina and one of Smogon's Giratina sets.

I dunno if I ever planned to cleaned this up actually, but it's funny so I'll share.

i have a feeling i am still trying to figure out what my preferences are when it comes to art, but I think that I especially like drawings like these that have a lot of contrast due to the lightsource, or where anime 2d looks meet detailed shading (ART BY pigeon666!!!)

Looking goooood.
If i have a tip for my style of rendering is that the stringy lines in my shading aren't drawn in, they are erased in, as in a draw the shape of the shadows first and then erase from the direction of the lightsource kinda creating a blending effect.

[INSPIRATION] refs I gathered for the value structure. I was aiming for a dark, mysterious vibe at the beginning. Images are by Brock Grossman, Andrea Piparo, Kudos Productions and Qingkai Yang. All includes a figure in a dark environment with single concentrated lightsource

For colors that are entirely outside the wavelength of the lightsource color (SORRY THIS IS HOW I THINK OF IT), then what happens is, they wont be able to reflect the light, and they'll become MASSIVELY desaturated. An example is the green on this guy's coat

The next step is to fill in "canonical" colors, such as the woman's clothes and skin. I never just use the eyedrop tool (left) though, I always manipulate them in the direction of the lightsource color - meaning oranges and reds become more orange and red here
