Historically, mince pies were a status symbol at Xmas. The wealthy liked to show off at their Christmas parties by having pies made is different shapes. Having pies like this meant you were rich and could afford to employ the best most expensive pastry cooks.

Christmas food!!! My absolute favourite of all Christmas treats is the Lebkuchen, which is a German Biscuit and the main reason I went to live in Berlin for 3 months earlier this year.

Today is stir up Sunday, the day you are traditionally supposed to make your Christmas pudding, Christmas Cake or Mince Pies! Everybody in your house is meant to give the pudding a stir for luck! 🎄🥄🍷
