Violet Evergarden episode 6
‘MiniReview’

Today’s episode focuses further on episode four’s latent themes of identity and existentialism: Who are we and why? Are our fates our own or predestined by forces we couldn’t control - as in determinism

Violet Evergarden episode four
MiniReview

This episode focuses on Iris and had a lot more to say than I thought so it’s not very ‘Mini’ once again, sorry gals and bros and non-binary goats

Violet Evergarden episode three
‘MiniReview’ - hopefully it’s smaller than the last one lmao

Violet Evergarden episode two
MiniReview

It’s looking likely I’ll stick with this anime after a beautiful episode two that starts scratching the surface of the human condition away deeper, clever line by subtle setup + reveal, the soundtrack and art styles are killer as well

Violet Evergarden episode one
MiniReview:

No promises I’ll finish this series as always since I’m on a heavy anime and manga burnout lately but we’ll see, and I enjoyed episode one

I often hear Violet Evergarden is one of those mature profound anime, let’s see if that’s true

It's like a long and absurd manzai performance, but with a pretty dark undertone and some action sprinkled in here and there. It was pretty good.

Both volumed gets 3/5

I'll be reviewing both volume 1 and 2 at the same tim, unless I have a lot to say after volume 1. It seems interesting, but haven't seen anyone talk about it, so don't know what to expect.

Having a lot of lewding is fine and all, but when 40% of you book is describing how big the main heroine's boobs are, it becomes a bit annoying.

The rest of the book is interesting enough to not drop, though, so it's alright.

What do you get when you mix cute cat videos and cute anime girls? You get this series with another long-ass name! Woo!

Actually quite enjoyed the manga and volume 1, so I have high hopes for this one!

Mixed feelings. Premise is interesting, but the book doesn't handle the "MC is invincible and gets everything handled to him" trope well at all.

It works, but wasn't amazing.

No idea as for what to expect from this. I haven't seen anyone talk about it, not did I even remember I had it in my TBR until I reached it.
At least I go in with no expectations

Gosh darn, does this book move fast! This book alone has content for like 2-3 books, but rushes past it all fast af.
The most enjoyable parts are the character interractions, sadly, those are like 20% of the story, sooo...

Volume 1 was pretty eh, but I've really been enjoying the manga, so I'm giving this series another chance.

Here's to hoping it doesn't disappoint.

Since I forgot to write a review for vol. 4, I'll cover both 4 and 5 here:

The series continued with Wein and those around him trying to keep his country afloat, despite hindrances.

I had a good time speeding through the volumes.

Both was 4/5

I was a tad annoyed by the MC's pushy-ness, but it got better at the end.

Otherwise, it was entertaining and a light read, despite being 400 pages.

Another shoujo game (Woo)! I swear I didn't put them in this specific order before I started chipping on my TBR...

Following up on the last volume, Kaouru's "difficult" life continues on as she tries to be anonymous, yet flaunts her power everywhere.

Still, a cute story, so 4/5.

The shortie that everyone's underestimating is back!

I've wanted to continue on this series for a while, but that is true for a lot of series, so I haven't been able to until now...

Neruneh had a smaller role than expected, although she got a lot more time than she usually do.

A lot more fighting than usual too, although that is to be expected with demons

Overall, what you'd expect from this series,

4/5.
