@Sophiesaurus98 His name doesn't get used enough. I absolutely love his designs. They're all so streamlined and clean. Yet they still feel naturalistic. I especially love his scale. Him and Sibbick are the best when it comes to depicting dinosaurs as "Epic" All while depicting realistic behavior
Chinese vase, spectacular. Flowers, even more spectacular. Small bug, just hanging around on the table. As recorded by Maria Sibylla Merian, artist & naturalist. It's her beautiful day.
Happy birthday Maria Sibylla Merian

Che la colomba della Pace, porti tanta serenità nel cuore e tanta luce per illuminare chi non vede, che voli nei cieli del mondo dove pace non c’è,con il cuore aperto all’amore, alla luce dello spirito

Redon’s later works, from the late 1890s are more colourful and he experimented in mixed media and easel paintings. Redon's non-naturalistic colours inspired the Fauvists, and his use of unreal imagery and his method of arranging objects in an unreal manner anticipates Surrealism
Happy #WorldFrogDay! Can you believe this frog is ~40 million years old? In 1873 the French naturalist Henri Filhol described this fossil frog discovered from the Quercy Phosphorites of southwestern France. The specimen preserved the frog's soft tissues as an external cast. (1/3)
