April 4th looks very concerning on the EURO and the GFS. Something to really pay attention to in coming days. Especially after this weeks round of severe weather.

Managed a time lapse of this the other night by Faxon, Ok - the little town in the pic. Quite the scene with sunset light and a new line of convection starting to boil up into the mammatus of another storms anvil.

Maybe, just MAYBE, we'll see some more 60s and 70s as we get to February. We also go over the outlooks for the next 3 months, and evaluate our La Nina thus far, all in today's Ticker!

Possible (probable?) ice storm shaping up for western and central Oklahoma. With all the leaves still on the trees, this would be a damaging event with widescale power outages possible. Start planning now!

Small storms in central Oklahoma last night 4/23/2020. Some really interesting clouds followed by a strong gust front.

Freezing rain froze a bunch of our wind anemometers across western and northern Oklahoma. And we all know just how painful that can be. Our wind and wind chill maps will be impacted until we melt some of that ice. Spring...HA!

Experienced a 107° change from when I walked into FAI (-35°F) to when I walked out of OKC (72°F). Is there a way to compute relative temperature cause all I know is this is HOT.

Click to expand. Another of the amazing bolts from the blue out of the back wall of a September severe storm in Oklahoma. One of a half dozen sizzling, multi-branched negative bolts from the top of the storm that had my jaw dropping.

The dramatic skies of northern Oklahoma June 15th. So temped to b-line for that mother ship cell in the distance , but developing overhead storms would have beat me to it.
