For my first say hi to Petrus rupestris, (or the red steenbras,) a relatively large but rare fish belonging to the family of sea breams and porgies. This species is endemic to South Africa but is now unfortunately endangered due to overfishing.

The species is native to Lake Malawi, Lake Malombe, and the Shire River in Africa. It was last seen in the wild from 1992. It is considered to be Possibly Extinct mostly due to overfishing.
