Very minor edit, but I redid some details on the back leg of the Gaping Kilnneck, namely adding a patagium much like that found on psittacosaurus. Felt it brought the wing pattern further down the design and thickened the silhouette of the leg
The best design aspect of the Jurassic World Dominion Pyroraptor is that it has propatagium on its wings
Une nouvelle étude montre que tous les dinosaures Maniraptora (les vélociraptors, oiseaux et leurs proches parents) avaient un propatagium, c'est-à-dire, une sorte de membrane reliant l'épaule au poignet.

A short video that breaksdown the ILM feather system on the #JurassicWorldDominion #pyroraptor has proved a nice detail I've always suspected. The #JurassicWorld Pyroraptor wing has propatagium. They didn't just slap feathers on a regular #JurassicPark raptor arms.

A bat native from where I live.
Mormopterus kalinowskii lives in North of Chile. I'ts recognized by having a long tail, which protrudes from its uropatagium.
Feeds on insects and lives in the cracks of caverns.
@TM9380 @Emily_Art Here's my best take on this (not the most helpful view, sorry!). The take home is that Pteranodon does not - to our knowledge - deviate from all the normal stuff we'd say about pterodactyloid posing and soft-tissues. So, upright limbs, brachiopatagium attaching at ankle etc.
That spike-like bone coming out of the elbow to stretch out the brachiopatagium is like a recurring theme in the anatomy of different dragon-like creatures. Which honestly is pretty cool, helps to distinguish it from other animal wings, to say "that's a dragon wing, not a bat".

Thanks to Laura Runyon for ye olde Monday morning #wingflapper
Did you know bat wings are just a thin layer of skin called #patagium? When it rains, they do use them as built-in umbrellas to keep their faces and front-bodies dry.
The landstriders from the Dark Crystal show extensive propatagium...is it possible they evolved from flying ancestor, similar to how speculative flightless pterosaurs could have evolved from azhdarchids?

Updated a detail on Xamorah's wings! 🦇 It's a membrane on the tops of the wings called the propatagium.

Revising my #pterosaurs following the discussion about 5th toe morphology and uropatagium I had with @MarkWitton and @TetZoo a few days ago. Here two spp from China: Jianchangnathus (upper left and close up) and Fenghuangopterus (right) #PterosaurPtuesday @paleoart #sciart
