For just a reminder of how beautiful the Holotype skull of Gastonia burgei is. Best Polacanthid skull so far on planet. Yhis guy was a head pounder like a dinocephalian with pterygoid processes forming a shock absorber at front of braincase. I'm looking at you!

I’ve always loved Fearow. It’s like a weird scuzzy crane thing. It’s remarkably similar to how I’ve always envisioned the Stymphalian birds! I love the visual of it striking out at Rattata or some other little Pokémon like a grounded stork. Solid 8/10.

My first illustration of 2023: Jonkeria was a large ominovorous dinocephalian from the Late Permian of South Africa.

Lurking through the caverns of Uokla, a red beast hunts its prey. A giant rhynchocephalian, a burrow raider. While adults barely use their wings, young are adept flyers. Meet the largest of its kin, the Uoklan Great Lindwyrm.

Since I've shown the four masters, here are four random Eilimituras <3.
The first and third image don't have names yet.
The second is Toxipus and the last is Pataphalia!

The smell of carrion travels far over the white sands of the Mid-Permian, 260 MYA. A Jonkeria, a 12 ft Dinocephalia, scavenges from the carcass of an unfortunate Styracocephalus which died in a flash flood. An impenetrable rock layer causes the rain to collect between the dunes.

A trio of large synapsids, the Jonkeria truculenta, approach the river to drink some water. The amphibian Rhinesuhus whaitsi seems to be bothered by these thirsty dinocephalians, and opens its mouth wide to scare them.

"Here I am lying down to sleep;
No night-mare shall plague me
until they have swum through all the waters
that flow upon the earth,
and counted all stars
that appear in the firmament"

Why is buying slaves is so common for "heroes" in fantasy ??

It ONLY worked in because Naofumi is FUBAR'd without Raphalia!

AND, the Slave Trader has a Lv. 75 Werewolf!
There's no way he could rescue her!

...But in , the "hero" has no excuse!

Revising the therocephalians and most cynodonts in book (in preparation) would be a PAIN… but now I am not as confident depicting them as furry as I was before … so I am stuck

Two gondwanan eutheriodonts from the Early Triassic for my book (still in prepepration). The small therocephalian Ericiolacerta and the cynodont Thrinaxodon
