QUEENSRYCHE『PROMISED LAND』
を聴いています。

94年発売の5thです。
アコースティックサウンドが前面に出て
メタル要素は抑え気味になりましたね。
それ故問題作ともされますが
緻密な音作りや構成はやはり彼等らしいです。
独特の内省的な雰囲気に浸る事が出来れば
大変心に響く作品だと思います。

21年作。Queensrycheのトッドのソロ作品。終始一貫しているこの音楽性をどう表現するのかによって、その人の感性が現れそう。
QueensrycheやJudas Priestに通じる要素もありながら、僕には摩訶不思議なサウンドに聞こえる。
でも、悪くないんだな。全体としても。

「The Verdict」 19年
先ず、全盛期の作品と単純に比較するのは酷であり少しおかしい。アルバムの出来はTodd参加後でも群を抜き一番。Scottのドラムが聞けなくても、正統派としての楽曲には十分魅力がある。良い意味で殻に閉じ籠る事によって、ドラマチックさも復活。躍動感もある。
