taking advantage of the hype of fmnh new acquisition, the #spinosaurus called #swimbo, I made this very simple #art based on its skeletal reconstruction and on the arts of the incredible @BrianEngh_Art

"Theropods, including T. rex, had lips that covered their teeth, leaving them looking more like modern Komodo dragons than crocodiles."

Today we release our new EP Reconstruction, that features three reimagined versions of songs from our latest album Modern Primitive: https://t.co/DhUmSxJko5
The new versions of these songs were recorded with an orchestra and a choir to achieve an entirely symphonic sound.
My attempt at quantifying expected body robusticity of O. megalodon using a 3D model and projected masses based on C. carcharias. I think many reconstructions go a bit overboard concerning the bulk; At 14 m, body should be ~5.5% deeper and wider than isometry, at 20 m ~7.5%
🦖 Daily Dino 🦖; Wuerhosaurus homheni
An Early Cretaceous stegosaur from China, Wuerhosaurus is notable for surviving longer than most of its kind. Finding of broken back plates initially lead to reconstructions with flat, unusual plate shapes

Hello everybody and welcome to a special edition of Falcon's Size Charts! I'd like to appreciate @PPaleoartist for helping me with this reconstruction. A new carcharodontosaurid has been unearthed, pushing the group into the late Maas, 66 mya! Named after its famous movie debut!
In our paper in @ScienceMagazine, we weigh in on the debate on soft-tissue reconstructions in theropod dinosaurs & show they likely had extra-oral tissues (‘lips’) covering their teeth rather than having exposed teeth like crocs.
Link to paper is here: https://t.co/iCHjuAhEA7
Reposting some of my tyrannosaur reconstructions with that new lip paper being published, very glad they're still holding up!
@RunicPotato Not sure this is helpful, but my dragons are basically weird dinosaurs, often based on outdated dinosaur reconstructions, so their skulls reflect that.
@ElPutoKarmaJode Going for the third option and choosing more modern reconstructions of Sinoceratops. BOTMs is especially gorgeous
If I had to choose out of those 2 tho, itd be the first. Idc that the JW one has colors, the anatomy itself is enough yo ruin it for me
Had enough spare time today to do another reconstruction, so here's one of a Harappan woman from ancient South Asia!
