Why did I make a rat adventure for 5E? Well, because I grew up on the Secret of NIMH and the Great Mouse Detective. And also Redwall. Small, quiet, friendly, communal, vicious when cornered... the best thieves, but also the best heroes!

I've had a ton of pet rats (they're amazing btw, like tiny dogs) so I can't see myself making them villains by default the way Brian Jacques did in Redwall. Cunning, yes, but not inherently evil.

I had dream last night where my favorite book (Watership Down) was in the universe of Redwall. So obviously I had to draw my favorite boys Hazel, Fiver and Big Wig (Thlayli). This was fun. Might draw the others later.

Hearing the announcement of a Redwall show takes me back. Years before I made my fursona, my FIRST anthro OC I ever made as a teen was a fox inspired directly from Redwall. Arc as he was named was my attempt at making a good fox after reading about so many villainous foxes.
