For #StudySaturday is Elizabeth Siddal’s ‘Clerk Saunders’. The watercolour was finished in 1857 and the study was produced in 1854. A woodblock illustration it was part of a commission to illustrate a collection of ballads William Allingham was editing for Routledge.

For some exquisite Pre Raphaelite works, @ChristiesInc has a stunning collection:

Our second collection also tells the story of Lizzie Siddal, Pre Raphaelite artist and icon. See the #NFTs inspired by her here: https://t.co/ykhNiffjRN
@Llemon_milk 1/1:
The artist Zoya's permutation of Ophelia on the right, the original on the left, @Llemon_milk used pinks+reds to highlight Lizzie Siddal's beauty. The incorporation of Sakura is a nod to the artist's appreciation for Japanese culture+aesthetics. #anime

🧵1. A visual feast ✨: Ophelia with the artist, poet and model Elizabeth Siddal, an iconic painting @Tate with our artists’ permutations.
In ‘Sir Patrick Spens’, women’s collective experience of watching and yearning, is the theme artist and poet Elizabeth Siddal chose.
I admire Siddal’s genius in evoking this turmoil, in the naive, medieval style that is her signature.

In @the_MoPAr’s Collection 2, 8 #womenartists permute the iconic painting “Ophelia” – in which #LizzieSiddal posed for Millais. Shown here are just 2 examples of permutations; left, by @NurArt_ & right, by @wheatatreat. Visit @the_MoPAr feed to see more Ophelia interpretations!
Don't forget our online lecture tomorrow! (11am GMT) Alex Round discusses 'The Pre-Raphaelite Women's Network' including connections between Anna Mary Howitt, Rebecca Solomon, Louise Jopling, Elizabeth Siddal, Bessie Parkes & Kate Bunce. For tickets see: https://t.co/Lh5GxeCtUN
26 Feb 1556: Thomas Cranmer signs his 5th statement of recantation & asks for absolution #otd
Henry Siddall, a priest, who had also recanted then gave the archbishop reassurances that his life would be spared.
Lizzie Siddal Emerges from the Ghostly Mist: It would have been a perfect plot for a 1960s Hammer horror film: on the death of his wife, a poet places a treasured manuscript of his poems in her casket. https://t.co/A765pmQT8J / via @preraphsister
We have just started an Instagram page, so please go and follow us! We are celebrating with a #SelfieSunday. Marie Spartali Stillman, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Elizabeth Eleanor Siddal and John Everett Millais, all obliged us with self-portraits, using their own filters, naturally.
Last night was the Eve of St Agnes. Celebrating the Keats poem for #FridayFavourite with Elizabeth Siddal, Millais, Holman Hunt & Arthur Hughes. Watch the recording of Gender & Space in Pre-Raphaelite paintings of ‘The Eve of St Agnes’ by @serena_t here: https://t.co/FAtYC4D8Pp
This is La Ghirlandata and Veronica Veronese Alexa Wilding (1847-1884) the model and Rossetti painter. She was his model and muse and there are more paintings of her than Elizabeth Siddall, Jane Morris or Fanny Cornforth. I didn’t know that!
