Couldn't let Pride Month go by without a new annual Skip and Pip design! Can you believe I've been drawing them in some fashion since 2014?

Pulling this out of the archives because it's that time of year! I hope you find a way to enjoy the day tomorrow while staying safe, even if it means you miss out on the big family gathering this year. I'd rather you'd be here for the festivities next year!

Trying to get out of my current creative slump, I decided to make *two* designs for Skip and Pip in celebration of Pride Month. I'm working on getting both uploaded to Redbubble.

Hope you like them!

This is me wondering what my bunnies in love would look like as humans. The second sketch is mimicking my favorite moment in the pirate story when Skip assures Pip that their pirate counterparts will indeed get their happy ending.

I hope all of you are having a lovely holiday week with lots of great food, good company (with no insufferable relatives) and happy things in general.

Took me a couple of weeks to get the next Skip and Pip pirate episode completed. I've included the previous page for context. I'm hoping there are only about 8 more pages before the epilogue.

This year's Skip & Pip Pride Month design took a bit of a different turn. I thought about how I could include more representation. I've expanded the S&P universe to add friends/relatives who represent the other alphabet letters and I wanted to showcase that.

Bringing this back from last year because still appropriate.

Sometimes the most precious of holiday gifts are the ones you can't wrap. Hank, one of Skip's dads, is reminded of that.

Hope all who celebrate the day tomorrow have a lovely one! Merry Christmas from House of Dair. <3

With all my 2018 commissions finished (which included nine book covers) I'm back to drawing episodes of the bunny pirate saga. Here is the latest installment - I'm including the page previous to it in order to give you a refresher of what happened before.

I tried to get the latest episode in the pirate bunny saga finished for a Sunday post but didn't quite make it. I actually spent the better part of 10 hours on Saturday coloring two out of these three pages.

Self published graphic novels are a labor of love.

Finally got that next episode of the bunny pirate story finished!
In the last installment, Pip was worried about what Skip would think when he wasn't around during the storm.

Episode 11 of the bunny pirate saga is finally here!

This week bunny pirate silliness has an interlude. We hadn't seen Pip in real time since it started. Mention of pie. ;)

Part 7 of "The Secret of the Carrot Medallions" introduces two never before seen characters in any of the comics. They HAVE haunted a few authors out there as they purchased the evil plot bunny plushes from the webstore. It was time they saw themselves as drawings.

Last espisode of the Bunny Pirate saga, Skip was given a choice to sign the pirate code or walk the plank. What did he do?

This weekend's Pirate Bunny episode!

I was going to draw hammocks but then decided they needed throw pillows and well, this decor happened.

The bunny pirates are on hiatus this week while I design their pirate ship. Hope you'll enjoy this in the interim.

Here is Episode 4: Meet the Crew. It was titled "No Bunny Left Behind" in my head until I colored page 2 last night and realized Payton isn't shown here.

I'll have to fix that. ;)

Episode 2 of the bunny pirate story is here!

I went to bed last night after finishing this and questioned what I am doing with my life in creating this. And yet I continue anyway. 😉
