This 1952 oil on board portrait is of 'Barbara Taylor' by George Wallace Jardine (1920-2002). This is an early portrait by Wallace using a student as a model. Born in Wallasey, he taught in the Graphics Department at the Liverpool School of Art.

Today is Remembrance Day. Remembering those who lost their lives fighting for their country. This oil on board painting is called 'Poppies' and was painted in 1973 by Angela Spedding. Also a prize winner at the Wallasey Spring Exhibition 1973.
