Floating crocs... Wegner (1958) suggested paranasal air sinuses helped croc heads float. In 1997, I said, "I dunno, dude..." (https://t.co/rCWrSWTlvQ, p. 58).

Now shows floating croc heads

The way Jane Campion and Ari Wegner shot and framed Benedict remind me of a Paul Cezanne painting. Trust the female gaze to make even the most loathsome creature beautiful.

is BACK!!! today it's the marvellous Fritz Wegner, with his colourful & witty characters. This is from "Jack the Giant Killer" (Joseph Jacobs, 1970), one of a fine Bodley Head fairy tale series. Wegner's illustrations are wonderfully imagined & drawn.

I shared reading Zombies Don't Eat Veggies! & ¡Los Zombis No Comen Verduras! by & w/my Wegner Elementary students today. I received awesome artwork in response from my K-2 grade students that I wanted to share.

In same spirit, Gerda Wegnerer, On the Road to Anacapri (1922) depicting Gerda and her wife Lili Elbe! Lili appeared in many of Gerda's portraits. She was a trans woman and it is believed modelling sessions with Gerda led Lili to explore and finally embrace her gender identity🏳️‍⚧️
