I’ve really enjoyed owning this terrific William Turner self-portrait, but it’s now on its way to a new home. I love the tonal quality and bold brush strokes of this 1973 work.

The William Turner exhibition we held in Sep 2010 was hugely successful with a total of 94 painting being sold. The image I chose for the front of the catalogue was “Waiting for the Ice Cream Van” a thick impasto work from 1986.
