As long as it lives in the hearts of the faithful, will never die! And you gotta finish that man, because I want to read it so bad that I already know I want to watch the adaptation afterwards.

D4: ...are you SURE isn't still active? 😅 Pretty much all the visual influences for the current WIP are anime. There are many, but I think Ergo Proxy is closest to the general aesthetic. High action backdropped by a grim, grey-sepia palette.

D25: Rehabilitation of an MMO Junkie does the holidays right. The majority of the show takes place in winter, over Christmas and New Years. Instead of covering those dates with faddish self-contained episodes, the season's heartwarming spirit informs the entire show.

D24: To , I recall you mentioned that you haven’t seen My Hero Academia yet. While it starts out much lighter than Doom Valley, I think you’ll find a lot of simpatico with your own writing. Cool power concepts, exhilarating fights, and big emotional beats.

D24: To , my hashtag game senpai, I humbly recommend Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It’s not the most creative suggestion, but it’s an outstanding staple of modern anime canon. I think many of the show's themes would synergise with your

D23: Shokugeki No Soma springs to mind. Compelling shonen duels, recipes, and food science served alongside heaping helpings of ecchi. Over all, the fan service and character designs are deeply male gazey, but it makes a token effort to provide some man-candy as well.

D23: Haganai is an off-color, tasteless, questionable, ecchi school comedy. It also has some good things to say about the socially awkward, and how hard it is to make friends. I laughed, I cringed, I identified with it.

D20: I haven't ever thrown a in the trash, but I shelve novels after querying them without success. Self-preservation is a big part of it, but I like to think it's pragmatic. You can only spend so much life on a thing before you lose perspective. Time to move on.

D20: Again, I'd like to cite Alderamin on the Sky and its "cancelled on a cliffhanger" demise. I fear Hinamatsuri may also get the axe. And while I heard Legend of Crimson was a success, Studio Deen has been awful quiet about the prospects of Konosuba Season 3...

D19: Alderamin on the Sky. Nobody I know has seen it except me and my wife. Nobody seems to talk about it online. And it's absolutely stellar. Lady warrior is the series' dedicated badass, but paired with a tactical genius who applies his laziness to lead efficiently.

D13: JoJo's. Maybe I was just acclimating, but Phantom Blood took a couple tries. The dramatic poses and speech where over the top, but aside from that? Bland plot, shallow characters. Wish I started with Battle Tendency where Araki had truly embraced his bizarreness.

D11: played straight? Haven't seen Re:Zero, so I'll go with Rising of the Shield Hero, because I stuck with it the longest. Though it's honestly a 7/10 series at its strongest. Interesting frame, cool visuals, some semblance of character development...but I dunno man.

D3: Again, too many contenders for me to track. Off the top of my head, I think I give it to Haikyu. I *played* volleyball, and I didn't appreciate the sport's drama as acutely when I was on the court. The cinematic angles, the animation, all of it is spectacular.

D4: Whoever dubbed Crayon Shinchan for Adult Swim deserves a raise and a psych eval.

I think AMAGIA would translate very well to Seinen audiences in Japan.

D7: I can't get enough of Shokugeki No Soma. I can't fault anybody for being turned off by the gratuitous fan service, and I won't pretend to watch it just for the food science... but the culinary stuff really IS rich. Inspiring, even. The Shonen arc is well-done too.

D7: Sweetness and Lightning. A widower struggles to produce good meals for his little daughter, until Kotori comes along. A student of his, her family owns a restaurant, but she can’t cook. So they learn together. It’s very sweet, very appropriate, with recipes.

D1: As for market? I intend for it to slot comfortably and firmly into the Seinen demographic, but if I am being entirely honest with myself, there are times when I worry it reads too Shonen-y. (Though there are worse things in the world.)

WriteAnime D1: My Seiyū Dream Team

Sevardin - Unshō Ishizuka (Jet Black)
Alinore - Hitomi Nabatame (Nanao Ise)
Hace - Masakazu Morita (Ichigo Kurosaki)

These characters also gives you an inkling idea of their character dynamic.

D1: Hi! I'm your host, Hank, and I've put way too much thought into this. I would love Bones or Production IG to handle animation. Of Akrasia, or as mentioned, the animators behind Netflix's Castlevania. They make spell effects and ugly violence beautiful.

D29: my love for FMA: Brotherhood is well-established and documented in triplicate. So I will give the Re-Life OVA a shout out. It wraps things up as neat and tidy as a little red ribbon, but I was incredibly satisfied all the same.
