Has anyone else been enjoying looking at the winter moon lately? We’ve always enjoyed drawing the moon - it’s taken many different forms over the years but yr3 enjoyed developing their skills using drawing/ pen washes / paint/ paper cutting /

Today it was truly enjoyable to teach Yr3. We sorted out warm and cool colours by playing with mixing and brushstrokes. Students had to play and discover what happens when you mix different colours together and experiment with quantities of water. Well done Yr3!

Spent a few hours with a colleague yesterday, helping her to plan a unit of work for Yr3&4’s Geography nxt 1/2 term.
It was great to share ideas, drink tea & eat chocolate in the comfort of my home.

Yr3 have been studying the text Varjak Paw - in Art we thought about how we could illustrate a cat 🐈 we found the cat drawings of Angie Rozelaar really inspiring and used them to help us compose our own cat pictures.
