Okay...seems a lot of my results are down to taste 😂 okay so what about with a background? Does that change anything? Black lines is more cartoony classic pokemon, i quite like no lines in this version it's a bit like a painting..i don't know what i think of in between yet 😅
FRIENDS! I've been trying out a new way of digital colouring with Sketchbook by drawing the pokemon Snorunt (they cute). Anyway I haven't done a background yet but I can't decide what looks better 1) lines (I'll fix the top) 2) no lines 3) in between POLL BELOW
It's a new way of drawing the face for me which sort of came out of nowhere but I'd like to keep experimenting with it...
She's got quite a cartoony face so i didn't want to go super realistic on the colour and shading and i can't quite decide if it suits it yet but i tried these
SO I tried out the sketchbook pro app on my tablet and acTUALLY FINISHED SOMETHING I DON'T HATE! I decided drawing my D&D character would be a fun way to experience as she didn't have to look recognisable as anyone 😓
@DrawfeeShow catching up on Friday's stream and since @JuliaLepetit loves Shinsou♡ i thought I'd share a first attempt at any kind of comic-looking thing i did recently for a discord server (anime focused) art prompt. Also Julia art tips inspired the backgrounds😊😆
For "Humanity's Struggle" I went for Shinsou from My Hero Academia and had a lot of fun attempting a sort of "comic panel" style piece. The prompt makes sense if you know his character story 😍
Another was "Stand the Test of Time". I'll never be able to recreate this however much I want to in future it was that kind of experimental drawing 😂. Mine was based on the anime Your Lie In April...gorgeous show about power of music and young musicians.
There was a lovely lady on my team who was doing lots of art too and I just absolutely loved her drawings a lot so I was ABSORBING tips, tricks, ideas and processes with glee as i went along so I tried a lot of different styles..which was the fun of it! Some character portraits
if we had some moves planned in advance we drew a few of those being played out. Two of the entrance pics I drew are here:
