Is a figment of your imagination. Possibly a piece of undigested lumpy mashed potato, maybe a dark yawning void. The figment writes things no one reads.

What with a projection of reality being the space in which we occupy, across a backdrop of two metauniverses fighting for dominance.

There's more here in the use of the Jesus fish, Gnosticism, and emanations, but I think they're ideas better discovered personally.

The war between the Invisibles and the other side continues into the future, with this seeming to be the "end times". It's interesting when you think about the earlier guard guy living long past 2012. Makes you wonder.

Also, this has 12 Monkeys vibes...

Seeing what is now the past, then as Ragged Robin's future, with the ideas of what technology would occur (and what doesn't) is always interesting. Along with concepts of the end that were pushing both for 2012 and Y2K.

Morrison's going hard into explaining a lot of the setting and backdrop that previously was just experienced in the first volume. Including the "aliens".

...still not something I particularly see why people would be drawn to it.

It's also interesting to see where truth and fiction collide. In that what we saw of the different identities during Mob's torture might have all been the truth. Or at least truth-ish.

More conspiracy fun. This one's even topical, what with people currently attacking the FDA and pharmaceutical companies in the States for this kind of conspiracy.

I love stripping these scenes of most colour save for the red of the blood. It's very striking.

Also incredibly disturbing when it comes to what happened to Jolly Roger's cell.

You know how they say not to have any sort of attachments in either a magical or black ops operation. Well, Ragged Robin and King Mob got attached. How that will work out we'll have to see.

I love that both the story and the Invisibles themselves are approaching belief kind of holistically. That the differing paths to religion, spirituality, and magic are all seemingly valid and work within their own specific framework.

I like the idea of finding out how deep the rabbit hole goes, and looking for a bit of payback.
