I like the pulp inspired look for the '20s Invisibles.
Also the art here is phenomenal.
Edith seemed wholly unprepared for what happened to her with the magic mirror and exposure to Barbelith, how the entire experience transformed her.
It's interesting that the Harlequinade was the source for the Hand of Glory here as well. That they basically seem timeless, despite changing in appearance.
I'm not sure what's more disturbing, the first version of Ciphermen that we saw in volume 1, or this new version which seems somewhat creepier decked out in what looks like something worn in the trenches.
I love this upending of expectations of what was "supposed" to happen on both sides of this confrontation.
While Jack may be a bit bumbling, the story is definitely setting us up to distrust Robin at this point.
"Sensitive Criminals" from Grant Morrison, Phil Jimenez, John Stokes, Daniel Vozzo, Heroic Age, and Todd Klein begins in The Invisibles Vol. 2 #8.
While the cell tends to Takashi's wounds, we get treated to a bit of biography for Edith and meeting King Mob.
