Conan the Barbarian and Lord of the Rings fans have the same blood: a desire for high adventure, swashbuckling heroism, to explore strange and distant dungeons, and slay evil which needs to be slain. I see no necessary division between the two! #tolkien #swordandsorcery #conan
@AlixBadger We did in Aeres, there's only one flavor of "wild" dragon, whose hide is crimson, amber, or brown--and they're as vicious and wicked as they come. The sole "good" dragon in the world has a brilliant silver luster.
If you like any of these fantasy things and play 5E, then our book has at least something for you:
-Huge dragons
-Arthurian Knights
-Enchanted forests
-Draconians
-Neil Gaiman's Sandman
-The Skeksis
-Viking dwarves
-Rodent heroes
-Runes, tarot
-Witches
-Fullmetal Alchemist

@Man_O_War_Speak Love this art man. I like to have a mix of cartoony and old school. Cartoony doesn't mean infantilized, it's about that fairy-tale vibe. Even Disney was old school too at one point, back when Walt was still kicking. It's all personal preference though of course.
Core to Aeres are themes of therianthropy, a staple throughout mythology. Humans transformed into animalistic forms, either from a divine curse, or willfully through magic. Metaphor is the intent. Today, pop culture co-opts these myths, proving their universality. #therianthrope
We are down to the last week on our pulp fantasy campaign for 5E! If you want green pastures, unicorns, and enchanted forests, look to Aeres. Astreas is a much more savage land! Check out the Kickstarter in the comment below! #dnd #dnd5e #ttrpgs #swordandsorcery
In Aeres, Kobolds are a gentle, Jim Henson's Fraggle Rock version of their race, leading primitive lives tending to the World Tree's roots in underground crystal caverns. They're incorrigibly friendly, kind, and curious... but there's a vicious, warlike offshoot of them as well.
