A while ago I finished this “Drowning” painting. I wanted to paint what depression feels like to me. I usually paint things that make me happy, but I’m grateful for opportunities to express myself in these ways and hopefully provide a meaningful visual for people to connect to.

Today is #WorldSuicidePreventionDay, #WSPD19. Mental health and suicide prevention is something that hits home for me. I know so many people who’ve attempted, a few who’ve lost their lives to suicide, and a ton of people who have been affected by the loss that it brings......

When I was about 9years old I did my first ever paint by numbers. Last night I repainted it for #retryjuly I decided not to sketch and just freehand it. Those paint by numbers sparked a fire in me when I was young ❤️ can’t wait to paint it again in another 20 years 😂👍🏻
