Netflix schedule for animated films this summer is filled. Wish Dragon is coming out June 11, America: The Motion Picture on June 30, Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans sometime in July, and The Loud House Movie sometime this summer. This is gonna be a busy summer and I'm excited!

I always love looking at the concept art of the canceled animated films of Don Bluth. Makes me wonder what could've been.

Willie Ito is the first recipient of the Winsor McCay Awards. He is an exceptional character designer who has worked at Warner Bros on One Froggy Evening, Hanna Barbera on The Flintstones, and Disney as an assistant animator on Lady and the Tramp. Such a well-deserved honor!

I found out that DreamWorks was making a traditional animated film in the 90s called The Wanderer which was about a stray bear who joined a circus with other bears. It would've starred James Gandolfini and Ellen Greene and directed by Prince of Egypt director Simon Wells.

DreamWorks released the first teaser poster for Spirit Untamed today and also stated the trailer for the film comes out tomorrow.

If there's one thing I will give streaming services credit for, it's that there taking a chance on releasing traditional animated films when other distribution companies won't touch them. I hope it means that studios in Hollywood will take notice that people still want them.
