It's been announced that DreamWorks is making a film based on Dog Man which came from Captain Underpants creator Dav Pilkey. It will be directed by original Animaniacs writer Peter Hastings. Given that DreamWorks did a great job with Captain Underpants, I'm excited for this!

For those Avatar fans out there, a second edition of the art from Avatar: The Last Airbender was just released a few weeks ago complete with a new cover. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to see the concept art from this amazing show.

Duck Amuck is one of those animated shorts that was really ahead of its time in my opinion. This short really knew how to hilariously demolish the fourth wall while being able to deconstruct the Hollywood cartoon that was expected at the time. It's a genius short.

The Little Matchgirl is such a masterpiece of an animated short. It's such a heartbreaking animated short and it really faithfully adapts the fairy tale by Hans Christian Anderson. Please see it if you haven't yet.

It's now December 1st. Time to get back in the holiday spirit. :)

I'm surprised no one talks about the fact DreamWorks made a traditional animated short a few years ago called Bird Karma. It deserves to be seen and I recommend watching it if you can! It should be available with How to Train Your Dragon 3.

A new poster for the second season of Hilda just dropped with a release date of December 14th! I'm so excited and can't wait to see more adventures with her and her friends!

Over the Moon having a small hand-drawn animated sequence near the beginning of the film was easily one of the biggest highlights of the film. The rough linework in the drawings is staggering.
