Today on "Dinosaurs!" weirdness, the Permian synapsid Moschops. It didn't make too many appearances in the magazines, but these two (both only credited as National History Museum) stood out to me as particularily derpy.

People who pay attention to Paleo documentaries or watch the NHC podcast probably already heard about the upcoming NHK Doc.
I was discussing some stuff on Twitter regarding what appears to be their Rugops when I noticed something which I think is kinda funny.

Taking the time to watch PBS' "When Whales Walked" and I'm not even 2 minutes in when I noticed this. Look familiar?

OK, some retro magazine art. Another case of consistent design choices, 90% of the times that Tarbosaurus appeared it was given this specific colour pattern. And to be perfectly honest, I kinda like it.

Wooloo is cute. Seems to be an early game grass type. Will probably always be compared to Mareep, and unless it does something in its evolution it can't meassure up.
Still, it's cute and it does its job.

Ok, quick break from paleo stuff for this thread.
Some thoughts on the Pokemon News.
First of all, I really like Corviknight and Drednaw. The later seems to be based on a kaiju as a friend pointed out.
Either way, the best designs in gen 8 so far

So, here's an something I just noticed.
One of the mobile game JW hybrids bears a strikling resemblance to some outdated Irritator depictions.
I'm not entirely sure if that's intentional or not, but if it is then whoever designed it has earned a little bit of respect from me.
