Current side project: City of Tordale in my #dnd setting. Been a very lone time since I've made a city map so I'll be curious if this turns out presentable at all. #cartography #worldbuilding

Latest update! As I'm adding detail and map markers, the file size is getting pretty large. Don't believe I'll be able to share the full finished map anywhere without compressing it, but we'll have to see.

Should be mostly done with the topography. Going to get rivers done tomorrow and then it's time for map markers throughout next week. #cartography #worldbuilding #dnd

Topography of the southern continent: DONE ✔️
Probably not going to be able to work on this today, but hoping to get started on that northern continent over the weekend, maybe even get the rivers on the entire map finished.

Made some significant changes to the topography of the northern range and the eastern plateau because they weren't looking very realistic. Had a lot of free time today and with a couple more hours tonight I'm hoping to get this southern continent done and start shaping the north.

Another relatively small update and another slightly altered color palette (was happy with the beige-brown mountain colors, changed up the greens a bit to complement them better; also different water color).

@Writer_JuNe Readability is what I'm most worried about, yes. This is an image at 100% zoom, so I think this still works but as the person who stares at these maps for hours while making them I'm also not the best judge of that. I'm definitely going to keep experimenting with it.

I chickened out by only doing the southern half of the Empire. Correcting that error now :)

I'm also experimenting with new color schemes. Thoughts?

No huge visual updates, but that's the barony-level markers and roads done for the central kingdom on this map! A lot of labels left to do, but I'm slowly but surely getting this one done!
Thinking I'll do a bunch of heraldry to fill up that empty space on the left. #cartography
