Throughout the 1920's, Miguel's unique illustrations could be found in magazines like Vanity Fair and The New Yorker.

When governor Johan Maurits of Nassau-Siegen traveled to Brazil in 1636, artists, including Post, accompanied him to record in picture form what they found.

November 9, 1802: English painter Thomas Girtin dies in London.
In 1794, Girtin began exhibiting at the Royal Academy. He played a key role in establishing watercolour as a reputable medium of art.

November 3, 1560: Italian Baroque painter Annibale Carracci is born in Bologna.
Annibale wasn't the only talented member of the Carracci family. His brother Agostino and cousin Lodovico were accomplished painters as well.
