Happy #InternationalFlowerDay from Bessie Downes 🌷🌻🌺

Bessie Downes made a unique record of plant species found along the Sefton coast.

Her beautiful watercolour illustrations provide us with a snapshot of the botany of our coast from the 1890s & into the early 20th century.

Yesterday was the final day of The Palette Club on The Landing here at The Atkinson.

We sold a lot of original pieces & the feedback was incredible 👏
