We were joined on our latest episode by @Kingfridayjoe, the great talent behind The Legend of La Mariposa! A favourite series that we have recommended on a previous episode telling the story of the aforementioned hero and their quest to complete the Demon's Gauntlet.

Their ongoing webcomic ⚡️ Inhibit ⚡️ is one of our faves: Victor always wanted to be a superhero, but ended up in a less-than-glamourous home for kids unable to control their 'variants'. Imagine My Hero Academia with funding issues and a huge, diverse cast!

The beauty of Househusband comes in the punchline set up as we see many questionable things from Tatsu's past only to reveal it as an often mundane slice of life errand. It's art is great and helps elevate the jokes which look to challenge forms of masculinity.

Jade recommends the Death Note 2020 One Shot by Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba. Years after the events of Death Note, shinigami Ryuk is bored and in need of apples to feed his addiction, so he gives his death note to a new intelligent boy who comes up with a plan to SELL it.

Illustrated and written in an approachable, charming way, with art and characters feeling like a classic cartoon. More books that demystify weed with big friendly anthropomorphised bears and plants, please!

Once a timeless comic strip found in the paper, Jaimes has breathed new life into the comic, bring Nancy into the present with sharp and often fourth wall breaking comedy. The way Jaimes manages to create such precise story telling is fantastic.
