Born with the power to show anyone's future death in their eyes, and given the power to get stronger the more anxious they get, Doe Deathlight is our latest hot mess of a hero! Find out all about their weakness to mirrors in our latest episode: https://t.co/dkRzw3Byi5
Lastly, Dean's been reading Alethia, by @Sskessa: a robot mysteriously falls into a village of other robots and into their story. She travels through the wasteland, meeting new robots and getting involved in their strifes. Imagine Mad Max, but more android. And colours.
@Moosekleenex @caitlindmajor The comic taps into the emotional side of owning a pet, both caring for them and the support they offer. Kelly's cartooning is perfect for the setting, managing to carry the weight of the delicate moments.
Next up, Jade recommends Again!! by @kubomitsurou. A boy who looks delinquent and has no friends falls down the stairs with one of his popular classmates and goes back in time. He has the opportunity to do everything over, but does he have the guts to change?
Josh has been reading I am a Hero by @hanamanko. This manga tells the story of mangaka Hideo Suzuki who wakes up one day to find the zombie apocalypse has begun. Armed with his hunting rifle, Hideo finds ways to survive in this increasingly warped new world.
Mignola takes influence from a number of genres, all the way from Lovecraftian horror to pulp adventure series. The art uses the shadows so well and has such a darkly rich colour palette (some nice reds - who knew.) It also doesn't shy away from comedy, as per the armed monkey.
Finally it’s time we address the 900 Chapter shaped elephant in the room. One Piece by Eiichiro Oda. We do like this series we swear. Monkey D. Luffy wants to be King of the Pirates! To do so he needs to travel the Grand Line in a search for a legendary treasure, One Piece.
Dean, meanwhile, has been reading Lake Ülemiste by @tessreid: Liis is spending their last day in the city, saying goodbye to their friends and their partner, Leyla, who met at the titular lake. Leaving is never easy, though.
Josh has been reading Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction by @asano_inio. The story follows Kadode Koyama and her best friend tracking aliens that invaded Tokyo three years ago, but haven’t done much since. Who has time to study for exams when the world could end tomorrow?
