@dormant000 @Exalted_Speed He worked as a first main antagonist for Kamala in the story being told and the fact he was a clone of Thomas Edison mixed with a cockatiel made more memorable than the rest of Kamala's small rogue gallery.
I just found out that someone scanslated the original 1985 – 1995 Sukeban (Girl Delinquent) Shojo manga Hana No Asuka Gumi.
Unfortunately, out of the 27 volumes, only the first two were translated and it's been incomplete since 2010.
@Gundam_Rider93 @Exalted_Speed She was also in a relationship with the Black Knight during that series, that was quite charming.
@Gundam_Rider93 @Exalted_Speed Yeah, she was a medical doctor who gained healing powers that manifested during Secret Invasion in "Captain Britain and MI13" and ended up being worthy of the sword Excalibur. There were some grumbling about her online but that was before this whole culture war nonsense.
@Exalted_Speed A thing people tend to forget is that Kamala is a fan of superheroes in general like in the first issue of the 2014 series, you can tell through his hallucinations she's having that she's also a big fan of Captain America and Iron Man.
@FrancescoDonald @Exalted_Speed Funny enough, I read that most of the Arabic Grendizer comics that used to be published in the region (through a Lebanese publisher) were usually Arabic translations of the Italian made Grendizer (Goldrake) comics.
@FrancescoDonald @Exalted_Speed Okay. I've been reading the 90s run of the Paperinik (Duck Avenger) comics and while I've heard that this run was Disney trying to do a Marvel style comic, some of these pages are giving me an Anime vibe.
@Exalted_Speed Would I be correct in stating that Sailor Moon's enormous popularity in Italy is the main reason both W.I.T.C.H. and Winx Club came into existence?
@japan_cg @ScrewToifs @FiftySells @Exalted_Speed At the moment, two of the biggest Western comic sellers in the graphic novel markets that are even doing well in competition with manga are Lore Olympus and Heartstopper, two popular Webtoon romance comics.
@09812345qw21 @johnn_slim @EthanVanSciver In fact, the iconic volleyball Shojo manga/anime, Attack No.1 can be pretty hardcore.
