Thanks to everyone for the comments so far! Pleased this one is getting the laughs, the last couple vids have been a bit heavy/serious so I wanted a palette cleanser to kind of centre my identity on the channel again.

Real talk- the JMS.Romita Jr run does little for me. Great dialogue, great atmosphere, horrible focus on chosen one narratives and mystic woo-woo, taking away from the heart of the books best qualities and sticking us with weird concepts that we can't shake.

@4thSnake Kevin Smith brought them together briefly which was nice- but unfortunately the book they appeared in wasn't very good for a lot of reasons.

There was some backlash to the Waid series years after the fact, but when it came out it was a huge return to the roots of the character and a groundbreaking book in its composition. A new Series could absolutely pull off the same flair, without taking away from the Netflix show.

I'm wary of Dis+'s output, and there was a lot I liked about the Netflix series- but was also a lot I felt was missing. We did tributes to Frank Miller, Bendis, Smith.

There's room for a little more experimentation with a blind, catholic hero.

Been down this road before, but some folks still haven't figured out that Jennifer Walters becoming a slightly larger conventionally attractive lady has always been the point.
