@ReturnsSpooks He had a cape in the comics sometimes! But I do like the capeless look too.
Look the new turtles are fire but there's equal validity to a unit of characters sharing a basic look. It's shorthand for unity and comedy and so many things that don't need to be torn down to big up the new show, please don't fall for this twitter okay thanks https://t.co/ZFhdic3K2u
@Awful_Possum Bumbling pirate out of his depth goes on whacky ten minute adventures in charming UK series made out of 2D puppets filmed in beloved creators garden shed
There was some backlash to the Waid series years after the fact, but when it came out it was a huge return to the roots of the character and a groundbreaking book in its composition. A new Series could absolutely pull off the same flair, without taking away from the Netflix show.
I'm wary of Dis+'s output, and there was a lot I liked about the Netflix series- but was also a lot I felt was missing. We did tributes to Frank Miller, Bendis, Smith.
There's room for a little more experimentation with a blind, catholic hero.
And a touch more swashbuckling. https://t.co/24uXQKafOl
Been down this road before, but some folks still haven't figured out that Jennifer Walters becoming a slightly larger conventionally attractive lady has always been the point.
A Hulk is not just a powerhouse, but an exaggeration of what the individual thinks they have to become.
