Super-Villain Team-Up splash pages!
Art by George Tuska, Bill Everett, Herb Trimpe, Pablo Marcos, Keith Giffen, Owen McCarron, & Jim Mooney.
Written by Tony Isabella, Steve Englehart, and Bill Mantlo.
Bill Sienkiewicz! ROM Spaceknight!
Four ROM covers by a Bronze Age master!
The modified logo in the last one (#54) catches my eye.
ROM was often a creepy and horrific book; Sienkiewicz captured that in his covers.
Comics need more Roman soldiers!
Are there any heroes that don Roman garb?
Here are some Romans in content (New Mutants and FF) and toy ads...
Heroes of the Great War.
Marvel’s Freedom’s Five from WW1. Other than Phantom Eagle’s one-shot, there are very few panels of this team. I could imagine a short run of Freedom’s Five being interesting.
Night Raven!
Did you read Marvel UK’s Night Raven?
Do you even know who Night Raven is?
Any recommendations if you’ve read Night Raven?
Has Iceman ever been able to control or manifest water, steam, or vapor?
Maybe he has and I totally missed it.
Seems like something Professor X would’ve worked with him on!
JLA or JSA?
You decide! Pick one!
The 1997 Justice League series or the 1999 Justice Society run? Which do you recommend?
Always enjoyed the villainy of Count Nefaria especially his classic appearance in Avengers 164-166! And he had a hand in killing Thunderbird in X-Men #94. He’s no slouch!
Kurt Busiek & George Perez had a fun Nefaria follow-up in 2000, along with Nicieza & Bagley on Thunderbolts!
